Scotch Whisky Tasting Dinner - Lowlands to Speyside

We’re welcoming international brand ambassador Katie Nagar to share her knowledge on whisky history and production. In a tour of regions, we’ll be tasting scotch whiskeys from the Lowlands to Speyside.
The tasting showcases two of Johnnie Walkers Blenders' Batches released just last month, including the Blenders’ Batch Rum Cask Finish. An experiment that saw the creation of a relaxed and easy-going Scotch. By finishing the whisky in casks which previously held Caribbean pot still rum, Jim Beveridge - master blender - has developed a Scotch tingling with layers of exotic fruits, sweetness and a little spice.
We’ll also be introducing Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Espresso Roast; the result of an experiment led by blender Aimée Gibson, which involved distilling whiskeys with barley roasted more heavily than ever before. The result was a malt with incredibly rich, dark chocolate notes which you’ll see paired with a charred espresso duck breast in this exclusive paired whisky dinner.
Co head chef’s Matt Taylor and John Frid have scrupulously paired six specially created dishes to six whiskeys originating from different regions of Scotland. Sample 6 whiskeys paired with 6 dishes at Tequila Mockingbird Thursday 30th November at 6.30pm. The exclusive event is priced at $125pp.
