Owner - Michael Fegent

If you’ve seized the opportunity to drop in for our renowned Jalapeno margarita, chances are you’ll have been greeted at the door by our Paddo raised owner - Michael Fegent.

Inspired by his favourite New York based Mexican restaurant La Esquina, Michael Fegent began brainstorming the Tequila Mockingbird concept in 2014. 

After eating his way through South America, he began refining every aspect of the business from décor to menu to service.

Bar Manager - Mark Crawford

The brains behind our best selling, eponymous cocktail.

Whether you’re after a intricately crafted dirty martini, or just some top banter - with 15+ years bar experience - Mark is your guy.

In true commitment to his role, Mark has become a seasoned Tequilier. If you’re a novice seeking enlightenment, be sure to take a seat at the bar and ask about our selection of 50+ Tequilas & Mezcals.

Head Chef - John Frid

Poke your head over the kitchen pass and say “Hey!” to our Canadian head chef John.

With a dash of creative licence and a generous pour of experience, John has transformed concept to plate, creating unique and innovative dishes as part of a seasonally rotating menu.

John’s broad repertoire of experience and knowledge that is reflected in the high quality menu offering we serve at Tequila Mockingbird.
